Getting back in the pink

The words March Madness usually refer to college basketball and yes that is prevalent in our home with Sterling keeping up with college ball as well as the Dallas Mavericks. But my March has been crazy in the sense that ever since the Texas rodeo I have been slowly recovering from bronchial pneumonia. This past week is the first I have actually felt my strength coming back, allowing me to stand for more than 30 minutes at a time. Now every day I am feeling stronger. Needless to say this has put me way behind in my organizational endeavors.

This weekend as you may have seen in my last post is my first Stars Over Texas Show at the gorgeous Rose Room here in the midst of the Dallas Texas gayborhood. Special guests are the Austin Babtist Women (ABW’s). We are hoping for a great turnout and fun for all.

Fortunately for my health sake and recovery, I am not traveling outside Texas until May. For April I am concentrating on raising money for IGRA, The Trevor Project & the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Also I will be joining the ABW’s in Austin on Easter Sunday for a Gospelfest Show. I truly love working with these folks.
Then it’s back to Austin for TGRA’s State Meeting the next weekend. Followed in two weeks by the Queen of The Closet Pageant ( one of Dallas’ chapter of TGRA’s major money makers) which I am honored to have been asked to be a judge.

May them begins my travels in earnest with both Las Vegas & Oklahoma City being my next two rodeo stops on the circuit. There are more fundraisers planned that month as well but will speak more on that later.

If I have followers out there please let me know. Although this blog is cathartic for myself, I would like to know if others are keeping abreast of what my year shapes up to be.

So Gentle Readers, please don’t be a stranger and looking forward to seeing some of you on the circuit very soon
