Performances along with April Showers begins

Well Gentle Readers, after a full month of recovering from bronchial pnemonia I am finally getting my energy back enough to jump back into the pace of performances and travel. Thankfully I had planned ahead of time to stay in close o Texas during March and April.

I tested the waters with a cabaret show night at the Rose Room to benefit the Cedar Springs Merchants Association’s beautification and security fund. (the heart of the Dallas Texas gayborhood) Then April fools day was my first Fundraiser as Miss IGRA called Stars Over Texas. I have been doing this show for three years and the last two have been held at the Rose Room which is an amazingly beautiful room to perform. That weekend was quite busy in Dallas and the community had several shows to choose from to attend. However all of them were wonderful hits and we all brought in funds for our respective communities. The Stars show was a big hit with our audience and I am now half way to completing my “required” fundraising amount. The second half should be coming in before the next IGRA board meeting to meet in Oklahoma City. My guests were The Austin Babtist Women, Voice of Pride vocalists Eric Way & Matt Harrington and Miss Yellow Rose 2012 Sabrina Starr. More shows are coming with everything else raised also going to IGRA and the Royalty teams beneficiaries.
This past weekend, being Easter, was again quite busy. Debbie Barrick aka MsTer TGRA 2010′s Easter basket auction on Saturday, followed on Sunday by the Roundup Saloon’s Easter basket Auction and Former Mr TGRA Jeff Germany’s Easter basket Auction. The Easter Bunny should have such hard workers!

My Sunday was heading down to Austin Texas to join the Austin Babtist Women for one of their big events called Gospelfest at the wonderful Oil Can Harry’s night spot. They are such fun folks to work with and they actually started through the rodeo community many years ago doing solid fundraising ever since. My Dallas Girlfriend Heather Thomas was there along with Dana Woodrow and Christine King from Austin, and Jenny McCall from San Antonio This show benefitted not only the rodeo but the gay senior community, which many are totally unaware of it being an issue.

The final duty this month for me here in Texas will be as a judge for the Miss Queen of the Closet pageant on the 28th. This is one of the 11 yearly events TGRADallas puts on.

On the national forefront , FGRA’s Rodeo is the weekend of the 20th. and GSGRA’s Hot Rodeo in Palm springs is the weekend of May 4th. Unfortunately, Bridal season is upon us here in Texas and I am booked for those two weekends. Best of luck to all contestants and both organizations for profitable weekends.
My rodeo list is AGRA, TGRA, (which are completed – now comes) NGRA,OGRA, ARGRA, CGRA, NMGRA, ILGRA, MGRA & GSGRA (Best Buck in the Bay) then World Finals. whew! The ones I need to miss while reigning (FGRA, GSGRA HOt Rodeo & MIGRA) are priority # 1 for next year.

So I will be boning up on my vitamins and be seeing many of you on the circuit now that my schedule is beginning to kick it up a notch!

Love to all
Victoria
