Good Morning to all our Rodeo Family,

It is with the utmost of sadness that I send out this e-mail this morning. For those of you who have not heard the sad news we have lost a very important member and friend last night with the passing of Ty Teigen.

Although we here at CGRA will feel the effects of this loss greatly, we also know that across this nation this icon will be missed deeply. After years of struggle with her fight to win the battle with cancer, she has fulfilled her role here on this earth and been rewarded and called home.

To those of you mourning the loss, my heart and the heart of so many of us here at CGRA goes out to you. To her partner Janie and to her rodeo husband Ken, may God bless the both of you and know that we as an organization are here for you during this time of sorrow. To Ty’s family and so many of her friends I will share with you that in my most recent conversation with Ty that she asks that you celebrate her life and the memories that she gave us.

God Bless you Ty, we will miss you dearly!

    Ty,
Your will to win and survive not only in the arena but in life is truely an example to all of us. Thank you for being the cowgirl of our dreams. From all of us in Utah may we say ride hard and ride fast till we meet again. You will truely be missed.

  • I Truly Think this community has lost one hell of a competitor and all around great person. She will be greatly missed. Her spirit and big heart will be felt in every one of you as you go through this period. I am sure that she would want you all to go out this weekend and do your absolute best in this weekends rodeo… Ty we will miss you and love you very much…
