HomoRodeo.com Calendar Fuel Fund

First off an apology from me:

I would like to apologize for my part in contributing to any miscommunication or failure to communicate on this issue. Words have meaning and on this subject I was often unclear in my thoughts and words.

Secondly, let me be unequivocal : This "dust-up" was in no way the fault of HomoRodeo.com and I would like to thank Harley for the nearly $10,000 raised with the calendar. Also, I call on all of IGRA to take a moment and thank him whether by e-mail, considering a membership or other appropriate recognition. Harley and HomoRodeo.com, I thank you for the interest, effort and kindness on behalf of the IGRA Contestants. Personally, it has always been a pleasure working with you, even in the most recent difficult moments.

Lastly, the Executive Committee, who's job it is to serve the organization between Board of Director meetings and make the sometimes complex decisions has reached a resolution to the payout of funds.

The complexity of the current issue, combined with ever evolving circumstances including the original fundraising intent, price of gas and a desire to broaden the benefit from the original intent, in a defined way led to the confusion. There was no ill will on anyone's part and no intention to create a gender bias.

That said, using the broadest application possible, the funds ($7,784.00) will be distributed as follows:

"Equally between ALL Contestants competing at Finals 2009". Checks will be cut for every contestant that is invited and competes, and will be handed out at the same time as awards.

We realize this may not meet everyone's expectations, and in some people's opinion fall drastically short, however, in the spirit of inclusiveness , this is the final decision. I would ask everyone to "rise above it", accept the resolution and move on to identify and solve other important issues confronting us.
