Dear Membership, GSGRA Regrets to notify our IGRA Family that we have made the difficult decision to postpone one of our California Rodeos this year. Hot Rodeo 2010, in Palm Springs CA, has faced some challenges related to the current economic environment. As you my know Southern California, on of the "sand states" has faced a challenge with the real-estate market that has affected the entire economy. There have been some sponsors who made recent announcements of their cuts in sponsorship. Without the support of all IGRA members, business and community sponsors a rodeo can be a losing proposition. After several meetings, long hours and efforts from members of the entire GSGRA membership it is with regret that we have to announce the 2010 Palm Springs Rodeo will be cancelled, but this does not mean that in 2011 the Palm Springs chapter of GSGRA will not have the hottest rodeo ever. As a member of IGRA I feel it is important to remember to support all IGRA rodeo's, to contribute to fundraisers, sponsor a buckle or give of our energy and experience, support both your local association rodeo(s) but across all IGRA. We were grateful of those who offered and gave of their time and energy to assist Hot Rodeo, but Rodeo is a business and business takes funding. Business decisions like these are difficult and not made lightly but have to be made in the best interest of the local members and IGRA at large. The entire rodeo circuit reputation and credit worthiness is not taken lightly at GSGRA The members of the Palm Springs Chapter is a group of outstanding, hardworking and professional individuals; they have begun the work to host Hot Rodeo 2011. GSGRA, an association of IGRA, is made up of 4 chapters located throughout the state of California.
