Well, round three of drag on the Rodeo circuit is finished and back in the bags. After getting to ride Southwest’s Shamu, I was disappointed not to ride another animal into Vegas but I arrived in SinCity with all luggage in tow. The cab ride to the hotel was by far the most expensive I have ever experienced even after living in New York for 13 years. It was an Asian version of Mr Toad’s Wild Right. By the time I got to the hotel I was not only hot from the Vegas Sunshine. But although things happen beyond anyone’s control (that we know personally) rodeo folk roll with the punches and keep moving forward.
After a quick load in,… Continue reading
Well gentle readers, after nearly two months of recouping from bronchial pneumonia I am back on the rodeo road again and as you can see I’m riding Shamu this trip. At least as far as Tulsa. Who knows what my next jet will be disguised as. Maybe I could help them decorate a Dame Edna flight complete with Cat Eye Glasses and a lavender flip!!!
Seriously, I am pumped to be back on the circuit with both Vegas & OK City this month. Then it’s back home for more fundraising in June before heading to Calgary & Denver in July, Sante Fe & Chi town in August and My original root town of KC MO & San Francisco in September.… Continue reading
Well Gentle Readers, after a full month of recovering from bronchial pnemonia I am finally getting my energy back enough to jump back into the pace of performances and travel. Thankfully I had planned ahead of time to stay in close o Texas during March and April.
I tested the waters with a cabaret show night at the Rose Room to benefit the Cedar Springs Merchants Association’s beautification and security fund. (the heart of the Dallas Texas gayborhood) Then April fools day was my first Fundraiser as Miss IGRA called Stars Over Texas. I have been doing this show for three years and the last two have been held at the Rose Room which is an amazingly beautiful room to… Continue reading
The words March Madness usually refer to college basketball and yes that is prevalent in our home with Sterling keeping up with college ball as well as the Dallas Mavericks. But my March has been crazy in the sense that ever since the Texas rodeo I have been slowly recovering from bronchial pneumonia. This past week is the first I have actually felt my strength coming back, allowing me to stand for more than 30 minutes at a time. Now every day I am feeling stronger. Needless to say this has put me way behind in my organizational endeavors.
This weekend as you may have seen in my last post is my first Stars Over Texas Show at the gorgeous… Continue reading

Well here we are! One week out from A Texas Tradition Rodeo for my home Association TGRA. The rodeo committee has been tirelessly working to get our ponies in a row and from what I can see, things are not actually in the pink but more like in the black. Thanks to Rodeo director Dan Nagle and the crack team he has assembled it looks like we are ahead of the game of coming out ahead. Rodeo School is gearing up with a good start for enrollment.
Our sponsors have ponied up lots of goodies. We are Bannered UP. Thank you Fast signs! Coors, Jack Daniels, LOGO, IGRA & IGRA Travel have been amazing. I’ll be adding a new post… Continue reading
Last nights festivities began around 8:30 and proceeded like clockwork. Our remaining royalty members from rodeo weekend assisted Miss AGRA 2012 Trixie DeLuxe (what a fantastic girlfriend!) in assembly line fashion to hand out awards. Our boys; Rodd, Rocky & John Paul looked dashing. Ms Kami’s boundless energy kept her in vivacious form. Our own version of Charlies Angles; Diva, Taylor and myself, after a slight break from the days events and a fresh coat of shellack, kept ourselves outfitted in evening wear with our good humors in tact to the very end. The event was short, to the point and over by 10:30.
I then immediately loosened my corset strings, kicked my pumps off, packed… Continue reading
12 straight hours of drag. It’s been an amazing weekend. Wonderful hospitality in the great state of Arizona. I loved seeing Barbara Seville yesterday and having the opportunity to have a good conversation with Pussy Lahoot. Also had a chance to hang with Miss AGRA Trixie DeLuxe. The three of us hope to be working together to cultivate some interest in AGRA’s Royalty program. It’s a long history of winners in AZ.(five Miss IGRA’s alone) Can’t wait to see them back in the saddle again. Now off to bed then tomorrow, home again, home again jiggidy jig!!
