Miss IGRA 2018, 2nd runner up

Phat Patty

(Christopher Sanders)

Christopher Sanders was born in San Diego, California in the fall of 1990. A few years later, his family would move to a place he calls home; Big Bear, California. His mother grew up in Big Bear owning horses and competing in Barrel Racing and other Equine events. Though Christopher never owned a horse himself, his mother taught him how to respect and cherish these majestic creatures.

Fast forward some years and Christopher has found himself living in his new home of Las Vegas, Nevada. He met some wonderful people who helped him find a place within the Imperial Court System, where his volunteerism and charitable heart just grew. His now husband, Jason Dyer, introduced him and his mother to the Nevada Gay Rodeo Association. His mother was happy that there was a place in the western and country lifestyle that would accept her son for being who he was.

Since being introduced to the Gay Rodeo, Christopher has volunteered at every Big Horn Rodeo starting in 2012. In 2013, Phat Patty started to bust out, thanks to the help of past Miss IGRA's Sable D'Zyer and Kimberli Foxx, along with past Empress of the Imperial Court Bootsy CarMichael.

Phat Patty has been alive ever since and has been a force to reckon with by helping all those who needed it, raising money for various charities and having fun while doing so. Phat Patty became Miss Cow Patty in 2014 and started to learn what being a part of Royalty really meant.

Phat Patty loves that she has found a home in the rodeo and that everyone has accepted her for being who she is 100% of the time. When she became Miss Nevada Gay Rodeo Association 2017, her one goal was to get in the Arena, and she did exactly that. Just because she is not medically able to compete, did not deter her from achieving her goal. She volunteered as part of the Arena Crew in Denver and has now found a new love, being in the Arena and helping Rodeo run smoothly. Watch out Rodeo family, she may just become the next certified Arena Crew Coordinator.
