IGRA Rodeo Scheduling Fees & Income
Getting Your Rodeo on the IGRA schedule
IGRA’s Rodeo Year is January 1 through December 31. An IGRA sanctioned rodeo shall be a one or two go-round activity, conducted over a one, two, or three-day event with a minimum of the twelve required and approved rodeo events offered.
Preliminary Rodeo calendar dates are presented at the annual convention 2 (two) and 3 (three) years prior to the rodeo calendar year. Rodeo calendar dates may be changed or added at the next convention or by a two-thirds (2/3) vote at any board of directors meeting.
Consideration must be given to possible conflicts with other nearby rodeos when planning your rodeo date, as no more than two (2) rodeos may be held on the same weekend. No IGRA sanctioned rodeo may be scheduled within seventeen (17) days prior to the IGRA Finals Rodeo.
Member Associations requesting a sanctioned rodeo must submit the following items:
- Completed rodeo application (Exhibit A2) (With any additional required documentation)
- Sanction fee paid to the IGRA Treasurer
Rodeo Application must be available for review no less than 7 days prior to sanctioning. Rodeo Application must be approved at a regularly scheduled IGRA Board Meeting.
Rodeos are sanctioned by a majority vote of the board of directors. This vote must occur no less than six (6) months prior to the planned rodeo date, or prior to the end of the last board meeting of the previous rodeo year, whichever is earlier.
