- At 10:06 AM the President called the IGRA Board Meeting to order. The entire Executive Board was present as well as most of the Trustees. A few Trustees were not present due to work schedules or finances at their home cities.
- A quorum was met.
- The minutes of the last IGRA Board Meeting, May 3, 2013, which was held at the Ivy Palm Hotel, Palm Springs, California were approved.
- On the Monday night before IGRA Board Meetings, there were supposed to be telephonic Committee Chair meetings. While this was the plan, no one mentioned if the Committee meetings occurred.
- The IGRA Secretary did a roll call.
- President's Report
- The President said that IGRA has been selected to be in the Inaugural Class of the Gay & Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place in Chicago, IL on August 2, 2013. Anyone wishing to attend with the President should notify the President soon.
- The new National Gay & Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame has announced an initial group of its inaugural class, which includes athletes, media members, a professional sports team and others.
- IGRA approved our acceptance of this honor unanimously.
- The President then discussed how he would like to distribute the resources provided by Bud Light. There was much discussion on whether he has the authority to sign contracts for IGRA, without Board approval. He thinks he does. So I recommended he draft a change to the Bylaws giving him that power, so there will no longer be discussion on this subject.
- The President mentioned he was seeking new sponsors for World Gay Rodeo Finals (WGRF) in October.
- The President mentioned IGRA needs to make a decision on whether or not they want to move forward with an IGRA sanctioned rodeo at the Gay Games 9 to be held in Akron/Cleveland, Ohio in August 2014. Discussion was moved to new business.
- Vice President's Report
- Gene Fraikes said that he had no written report.
- The VP has the CDs to pass out to Associations who have Royalty.
- Gene mentioned that the need for Judges at the WGRF's was real. When he sent out which Associations should supply Judges, very few Associations responded.
- Gene asked, if you cannot supply the Judge positions he asked for, tell him, and he will move further down that listing to find a Judge who was willing.
- Then, Gene went on to say Royalty wants to drop one of their sponsors. The sponsor was "Cancer is a Drag." Their reason is this charity is a licensed 501 (c) 3 or 4 charity in the UK, but not in the US.
- IGRA Royalty is in the process of selecting a new charity.
- Secretary's Report
- The Secretary stated that he needed the names of nominees for this year's IGRA Awards.
- Treasurer's Report
- Due to a death in his family, the IGRA Treasurer was not in attendance.
- Chuck Browning pointed out that there were still some outstanding debts owed to IGRA, and some of these have been on the IGRA Financial Records for quite a long time.
- Trustee Chair
- It was stated that the Trustees will meet after the Board Meeting, and that there will be an EPRB meeting.
- Administrative Assistant
- The Administrative Assistance clarified that when Associations update their Membership Lists, these lists should be sent to the IGRA Secretary, as well as to the Administrative Assistant.
- General Announcements, Issues, and Committee Reports. Not all Committees reported.

- Committee Reports
- Community Outreach-Fundraising-Royalty - Frank Thompson said that they have developed a Spirit Stick Certification, and they would soon provide this Certificate to IGRA and asked that it be approved for use. He went on to say that Royalty has collected $ 5,000 so far this year.
- Merchandise - Gene Fraikes said that they no longer have a company to do embroidery for IGRA. He is willing to do this service at no profit until the end of the year. He did not want a formal contract.
- Media Relations - Brian Helander stated he was working on a press release for the Hall of Fame. He went on to say New Mexico will have a museum display on "Cowboys and Cowgirls Real and Imagined". It will be at the Albuquerque History Museum in August.
- Nominating - Frank Mazzo said he will be accepting Nominations to fill the positions of IGRA Vice President and IGRA Secretary for our voting at Convention in November 2013 in San Diego, California.
- Finals Rodeo - Janie Van Santen mentioned this committee is continuing to reevaluate their Budget. Janie said there was a Finals presence at Pride in Dallas/Fort Worth. She mentioned Mitch Gill in Memoriam will be Grand Marshall this year. Janie needs Associations to nominate both Community and Honorary Heroes.
- Annual Convention - Scotty Shadix mentioned the Paladin Awards will be on Saturday night. Four tables of eight people have been sold. Cost to attend IGRA Convention has been raised to $125 per attendee. Gay Games -- will be held in Cleveland and Akron, Ohio in 2014. Judy Munson is heading this committee. IGRA has yet to totally commit to put on a two or six day rodeo/rodeos. It will be held at the Summit County Fairgrounds, Akron, Ohio. The dates are August 9-16, 2014.
- Animal Issues & Concerns - Kelly Peebles mentioned there are no current outbreaks or quarantines. The one issue New Mexico had has been resolved.
- Archives - Brian Rogers thanked IGRA for donations
- Social Media - Kole Hillman stated she is trying to put more photos of rodeos on Facebook and Social Media in general.
- Old Business - There was no Old Business.
- New Business
- Royalty is working on finding a new charity
- President Ed Barry discussed how he wanted the Bud Light sponsorships money distributed. There was a lot of discussion on this issue, but finally the budget was approved as presented less how to distribute the additional $ 5,000 which will be taken up by a conference call to resolve the issue.
- Lunch was served.
- Judy Munson made a major presentation on the Gay Games. IGRA would put on anywhere from one to three sanctioned heats, depending on the number of contestants wanting to participate. Seven of the Gay Games will be held in Cleveland. They are expecting 20,000 spectators. Judy then presented a film on the Gay Games.
- 2014 IGRA Board Meetings have been selected. They are IGRA University in January; OGRA in May; KSGRA in July; and Convention in Denver in November
- The Association Announcements were made.
- The IGRA Board Meeting was adjourned at 2:35 PM.

- The meeting was called to order at 2:47PM
- A Roll Call was made of all attendees.
- The minutes of the last Trustee meeting which was held at the Ivy Palm Hotel, Palm Springs, California were approved.
- Approval of pre-rodeo meetings and post Rodeo Review meetings for Houston; Little Rock; Palm Springs; Las Vegas; Oklahoma City; Sacramento; and Calgary were approved.
- Old Business - There was no Old Business.
- New Business
- Michael Lentz requested approval for Terry Covington to be a "Rookie Judge" and to start his training. This motion was approved.
- At the CGRA Rodeo, Mark Gurrola, TGRA was selected as Checklist Trustee, and John Beck, CGRA Trustee and Kelly Peebles, NM GRA Trustees were selected as Rodeo Review Trustee.
- After the Trustee Meeting, there was an EPRB Meeting. While the subject matter cannot be included here, the Trustees unanimously accepted a proposed solution to the EPRB Issue.
- The Trustees meeting adjourned at 5:46 PM
